Missing 12-Year-Old Boy From Meriden Found Safe; Purple Alert Canceled

MERIDEN, CT — The 12-year-old boy missing from Meriden has been found, police said in an update on Monday night.

Police said he is in good health and has been reunited with his family.

A Purple Alert had been issued for the boy, who went missing on Monday morning.

He was last seen around 11 a.m. on Monday, March 16, in the area of Wall Street and Liberty Street, according to police.

Police said the boy has autism and is non-verbal. He is very sensitive to crowds and loud noise, according to police.
