Boyfriend Claims Defense in California Killing of Meriden Native

Loredana Nesci was found stabbed by police last week. Her boyfriend claims she came at him with a knife.

Robert Reagan, 51, was arrested after police went to the couple’s home and found Nesci dead of apparent stab wounds. He faces a maximum sentence of 26 years to life if convicted, according to The Daily Breeze.

Reagan’s lawyer claimed that Reagan tried to disarm Nesci when she came at him with a knife and during the struggle she was stabbed. Reagan had called police after the incident.

He was arraigned on Friday.

Nesci appeared on the reality series Loredana, Esq. that documented her time as a defense attorney.

She is a former police officer and responded to the famous North Hollywood shootout in 1997.

Her brother Meriden Police Lt. Sal Nesci said his sister was a great person and she will be missed, according to the Record-Journal. Nesci and his brother Sgt. Rob Nesci plan to raise her son Rocco in Meriden.

Loredana Nesci received her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut before moving out to Los Angeles, according to her website The Legal Diva. She returned to study law at Quinnipiac University and practiced law in Connecticut.

She moved back to California in 2004 and started her own firm, but also continued to practice law in Connecticut.

Loredna Esq. aired in 2013 on the Sundance Channel. Nesci and Reagan had son Rocco Nesci-Reagan together.
