Career Criminal Gets Prison Time for Robbing Meriden Bank
This marks the man's third conviction for bank robbery.

A career criminal was sentenced to more than 12 years of prison after he pleaded guilty to robbing he TD Bank on East Main Street in Meriden.
Michael Maslar, 59, of Meriden was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court.
Maslar put a pillow case over his head and robbed the TD Bank on Sept. 22, 2014, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office. He said he had a gun.

Bank tellers complied and gave him more tan $5,600. He was arrested shortly after the robbery.
Maslar has two prior federal convictions for bank robbery along with convictions for involuntary manslaughter and assault. He robbed a Meriden bank on Sept. 11, 2001 and was released in January 2014.
