Celebrating Promised Messiah Day 2020 Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

Commemorating the establishment of the spiritual Ark of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community founded by Messiah Ahmad on March 23rd 1889

“Surely to Allah we belong and to Allah shall we all return” (Quran 2:157). Our collective jihad against coronavirus is sudden, grounding and claiming precious lives. But there’s a silver lining, and it’s revealing people’s true nature. No, I’m not talking about the hoarding. I’m talking about our sacred jihad to survive. It’s reawakening our lifeline to the Source of everything, God, as well as to our families and neighbors more intimately. This is why as part of our Ahmadi Muslim identity I join millions worldwide virtually today on March 23rd in celebrating the coming of the Kingdom of Heaven known today as the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community founded by the Promised Messiah and Mahdi (Guided one), Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835 - 1908) (pbuh), with a renewed appreciation of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It was on this day in 1889 that Messiah Ahmad (pbuh) began accepting the covenant of bai’at, initiation, from truth seekers after Divine directive to construct the spiritual Ark of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Later in 1899, he wrote the Treatise, now a book, called “Jesus In India” expounding how Messiah Jesus (pbuh) survived the crucifixion just as Jonah (pbuh) survived in the belly of the fish (Matt 12:40). Jesus “appeared as one crucified” (Qur’an 4:158) and was healed in the sepulcher with aloes and myrrh brought by Nicodemus (John 19:39) known as the “ointment of Jesus” or the “Apostles’ Ointment” recorded in Avicenna’s famed Qanun and rediscovered by Hakeem Muhammad Hussain, a prominent Disciple of Messiah Ahmad. With mother Mary, Jesus traveled as far as Kashmir, India to find and preach to the remaining ten lost tribes or “sheep” of Israel who had been scattered there previously by Nebuchadnezzar some 500 years before. Jesus’ final resting place can still be found in Rozabal, Srinagar with the name “Yuzas Af”. In 1890, Messiah Ahmad claimed to be the re-advent of Jesus in accordance with Scriptural prophecies just as prophets had reappeared in the past before him; John the Baptist (pbuh) came in the spirit and power of Elijah (pbuh) (Luke 1:17). As his name suggests, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was the spiritual son and Khalifa of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and was also his second coming in a limited degree according to a revealed Hadith Qudsi explaining Surah Al Jumuah of the Holy Quran 62:4.
While you’re at home take advantage by praying and researching. Are these the times that the Prophets and Messengers of old foretold? Has God finally sent the Messiah at last? Find out more here https://www.alislam.org/messiah/.
Let’s keep finding ways to serve, educate, pray, and stay safe remotely.
