Child, 8, Struck By Car In Meriden: Police
Police said the child was taken to the hospital for observation after showing no "obvious signs of injury."
MERIDEN, CT — An 8-year-old child was taken to the hospital after being struck by a car Tuesday morning in Meriden, according to police.
Police responded around 8:50 a.m. to reports of a child being hit by a car on Hall Avenue in Meriden, according to Sgt. Michael Boothroyd.
Boothroyd said an 8-year-old child was found at the scene and “had no obvious signs of injury but did complain of pain.”

The driver of the vehicle was also at the scene, according to Boothroyd.
Boothroyd said the child was taken to an area hospital for observation.
