Connecticut Hunting and Fishing Day

The CT DEEP is holding Connecticut Hunting and Fishing Day on September 24, 2016 at Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area in Burlington

The CT Department of Energy & Environmental Protection is holding Connecticut Hunting & Fishing Day on September 24, 2016, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at the Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area in Burlington. This FREE family event features a live birds of prey program and a raptor meet-and-greet by Master Class Falconer Lorrie Schumacher from Talons. Activities for all ages include .22 rifle, BB gun, & archery ranges; fly casting pools and fishing demonstrations; field dog demonstrations; live reptiles; kid’s crafts; fish and wildlife exhibits; and more! Children will have the opportunity play a Backyard Fishing game for a chance to win one of 45 fishing poles donated by Cabela’s of East Hartford. There will also be a chance to speak with DEEP biologists and representatives from outdoor and hunting/fishing organizations and equipment vendors. The Boy Scouts of America Troop 27 will be selling food and drinks or you can bring your own picnic lunch.
