The Connecticut Veterans Parade In Hartford Sunday November 2nd

The parade steps off at 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Buckingham and Washington Streets, near the State Capitol


PARADE ROUTE & INFO:
The parade steps off at 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Buckingham and Washington Streets, near the State Capitol, Travel north on Trinity Street through the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch, onto Ford Street, turn right on Pearl Street, right onto Main Street where it passes a reviewing stand across from the Wadsworth Atheneum, and right onto Capitol Ave, where it ends. Total distance: 1.3 miles.

Staff Sergeant Simmons served on active duty for six years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a meteorologist/oceanographer, forecasting weather conditions all over the world.

The Bloomfield resident has built a career as a vocalist and as a business professional. He has managed the band “Tony Harrington & Touch” for the past 29 years. A graduate of the University of Hartford’s Educational Leadership Doctoral Program, Tony worked for the City of Hartford in Employment & Training, the Minority Business Enterprise Program, and Social Services before branching off into higher education. He was a Minority Affairs Coordinator at Tunxis Community College, Director of Continuing Education at Goodwin College and currently is a a Re-Employment Coach with CT Works.

Front Street South, 90 Arch Street is $5.00

Front Street North, 105 Columbus Blvd is $5.00

CT Science Center and CT Convention Center are hourly

One Financial Plaza Garage (Gold Building Garage). - Event rate is $5.00, but all veterans, active duty and reservists can park for FREE with an ID or in uniform.

On-street parking at meters is free on weekends except where parking restrictions are posted.
