Dog Stolen from Meriden Mall Recovered

The dog was recovered in good condition.

Meriden Police, mall security and a Southington pet store helped locate and retrieve a Siberian Husky puppy that was stolen from Gentle Jungle pet store in the Meriden mall.

Police said the dog was returned to the store in good condition and no charges were filed.

A group of people were playing with the dog at the store. The owner said they then took the dog, according to the Record-Journal.

The puppy was stolen May 9.

The perpetrators were caught on mall security surveillance with the puppy. They couldn’t get the license plate number of the car that left with it, but they circulated photos of the perpetrators.

All Pets Club employees in Southington called the Gentle Jungle and notified them of a group matching the description along with a license plate number. Police tracked down the car to an address and recovered the dog.
