Driver Ejected From SUV, Killed In Meriden Crash; ID Released: Police
A man is dead after his SUV flipped and he was ejected onto the highway Thursday afternoon, state police said.

MERIDEN, CT — A person was killed in a single-car accident on Route 15 on Thursday afternoon in Meriden, according to state police.
A 2002 Chevrolet Suburban was traveling in the right lane on the northbound side of the highway near North Broad Street at 4:37 p.m.
The driver lost control for an unknown reason and veered from the right lane across the left lane and into the center median.

The SUV struck the guardrail and flipped, ejecting the driver onto the road.
The driver, Manuel Goncalves, 62, of Meriden was declared dead at the scene of the crash by EMS.

The crash is under investigation.
