Driver ID'd in Fatal Stolen Car Crash in Meriden: Report
The crash occurred earlier this month on Maple Avenue.
MERIDEN, CT — A Meriden teenager has been identified by police as the suspected driver in the fatal Aug. 19 stolen car crash that killed passenger Deshawn Jones, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.
The juvenile suspect has not yet been charged but is expected to be soon, according to police, and officials told the publication that the teen's family is cooperating with authorities.
Police said the suspect fled the Maple Avenue scene of the crash at the time, but was later identified by authorities as a person of interest.
