Drunk Meriden Trucker Crashes While Changing Pants: Report

The crash occurred Wednesday morning in Williston, VT, according to state police.

WILLISTON, VT — Meriden resident Allen R. Johnson Sr., 62, was driving a tractor trailer drunk Wednesday morning when he tried to change his pants and lost control of the rig, crashing off the side of a Williston, Vermont road, according to state police.

Johnson's blood alcohol content level was 0.21 percent, or five-times the legal limit, reports Fox61 News. He was treated in local hospital for minor injuries.

State police said Johnson, who was charged with driving under the influence and negligent operation, was standing up in the cab of the truck while changing his pants, and the truck ran off I-89 and rolled onto its side.
