MERIDEN, CT - A basement fire damaged a Franklin Street home Monday morning, according to WTNH. Heavy smoke from the fire rose to the second floor and could be seen outside the home.
No one was injured in the incident as the home was empty due to ongoing renovations. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, WTNH reported.
Berlin firefighters also responded to provide additional coverage in Meriden at a Pratt Street blaze.
