This hike will be a hilly walk with some views, 7 to 11 miles long. There will be an option to leave early and shorten the hike.
Meet at 8 a.m. at the Dunk Rock Road trailhead, which is about 1.5 miles from exit 57, I-95, in Guilford. Go toward the coast on Route 1 about 1 mile to Dunk Rock Road, which will be on the right. Call by 7 a.m. if rain or ice threatens.
Steady rain cancels the hike, but bad- weather gear is still essential. Bring 1-2 liters of water and lunch, as well as stabilizers, yak-traks or crampons if temperatures are freezing.
