Nearly 93 million Americans are affected by obesity, and that number is expected to climb to 120 million in the next five years, according to the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. The Walk from Obestity raises money to prevent and treat obesity, with a focus on education, research and awareness. Join in and send the message to "walk away from obesity."
The Meriden Walk from Obesity starts with registration at 10am and finishes by 1pm. On-site registration costs $35. Children under the age of 12 are free. All registrants get a Walk from Obesity T-shirt.
