Join wildlife biologist and QRWA volunteer Peter Picone on this annual hike through Quinnipiac River State Park. Search for signs of wildlife in winter along the way. Learn about several of the valuable winter food and cover sources used by wildlife during the cold winter months as well as the important winter habitat of the Northern Saw-whet owl--Connecticut’s smallest owl. If there is snow cover, participants will also learn to identify local animal tracks.
Meet at the end of Banton Street in North Haven, located behind a gas station.
