Winter Hike with Quinnipiac River Watershed Association

Join the Quinnipiac River Watershed Association for a winter hike led by wildlife biologist and QRWA board member Peter Picone. Enjoy a couple of hours in the fresh air and learn more about the animals that inhabit the area around the Quinnipiac River in North Haven.

Explore the flora and fauna and their importance in the environment to the animals and birds. You might spot a saw whet owl, a native species that has been sited on previous hikes.

This hike along the Q River is relatively flat, with no major inclines or declines. Dress warmly. This is a great family-oriented event.

Plan to meet other nature enthusiasts at the end of Banton Street in North Haven.
