Central CT Civic Youth Orchestra Auditions

The Central Connecticut Civic Youth Orchestra (CCCYO) will hold auditions for its three ensembles on Jan. 12, from 5-7 p.m. at Center Congregational Church at the corner of East Main and Broad Streets in Meriden.

The CCCYO is a project of the Meriden ArtsTrust, and is open to area students grades 5-12. 

The orchestra is divided into two levels based on a performer's experience. For the audition, students should prepare a 2-3 minute selection of music they are comfortable with and two major scales, according to the CCCYO. More information can be seen in the attached PDF pamphlet.

Students practice weekly on Thursdays at staggered times at Center Congregational Church, 474 Broad Street, in Meriden. Tuition is $125, and scholarships are available, according to the orchestra.
