Eversource Scam Alert Issued In Meriden

MERIDEN, CT — Eversource officials are warning residents of a scam alert in Meriden.

“Criminals are posing as Eversource employees and asking customers to use Bitcoin as a form of payment,” officials wrote in a post on Twitter. “This is NOT us. If have you a suspicious encounter, call us at 800-286-2000 and report it to your local police. Remember, don’t panic and don’t pay!”
