Evonne Klein to be Honored with Connecticut Woman in Leadership Award for Work in Community Development

On May 6, 2016 at the annual In the Company of Leaders Luncheon Women and Families Center (WFC) will honor Evonne Klein, Connecticut's Commissioner of Housing, presenting her with the Connecticut Woman in Leadership Award for her work in the areas of affordable housing and transit-oriented development.
Awards will also be presented to attorney Maureen Weaver for her work representing the health care industry, including long-term care, home health care and hospitals, and to attorney Stacey Violante Cote in recognition of her extensive advocacy for vulnerable youth.
"The Annual Women in Leadership Celebration is an opportunity to reflect on the significant impact made by our individual, community and business partners who have all contributed to the continued success of the Women and Families Center," said Nicole Barillaro, Event Chair. "We are honored to host an event celebrating a shared commitment to promoting equity and improving quality of life for women and children in our local community."
