Fasting to Feed in Ramadan & National Donate A Lunch Day on June 10th

As the holy month of Ramadan begins, millions of Muslims across the globe will be fasting as required by their faith. For Muslims, this is the month of making extra sacrifices and prayers to seek forgiveness and nearness to the Creator.

By fasting for over 16 hours a day in this month, all Muslims get a taste of hunger thus giving many a realization of the pain endured by millions of starving fellow human beings. But unlike many who go on to enjoy their favorite foods after breaking fast in the evening, millions do not have the luxury of having even a meal every day.

Unfortunately, this is true even in the USA where almost 50 million fellow Americans do not know if they will be able to have a meal in the evening. For many school age children, the only guaranteed meal is the one that they get at school during the week.

This year, Humanity First USA invites its supporters from all faiths to come together to fight hunger & starvation in America during the month of Ramadan.

We urge everyone who receives this message to donate your lunch money while you fast, to feed a hungry stomach. Muslims while fasting can share the cost of at least one meal and people from other faiths can try to experience a fast or skip a meal and donate that small amount to feed children, mothers, elders who are suffering because of hunger in America.
