Former Meriden Mayoral Candidate Faces Charges: Report
A former Meriden mayoral candidate was charged with DUI, according to a report.
MERIDEN, CT — Former Meriden mayoral candidate and current Planning Commission member Elain Cariati was charged with drunk driving in Wallingford, The Meriden Record-Journal reported. Cariati was pulled over after running a red light on North Colony Road on Nov. 27.
After failing sobriety tests, she was taken into custody. She was later released on a promise to appear in court Dec. 10.
Cariati did not respond to a request for comment from The Meriden Record-Journal.
