Four Meriden Streets to Soon Serve One-Way Traffic

The streets are being converted to increase school safety.

Four streets near schools in Meriden will soon have one-way access, the Record-Journal reports.

The Police Department wants to convert Dove Drive, Markham Place, Monroe Court and James Street in an effort to improve school safety during pickup and drop-off times.

Police Capt. Patrick Gaynor told the Record-Journal that all four roads have caused traffic and safety issues for parents and students.
