Helping Children Overcome AnxietyA One Day Saturday Seminar (for children 8 years of age and older and their parents) April 18th, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

An educational program designed to effectively help manage anxiety within children. Dr. Thomas Finn will cover the biology of fear, thinking patterns that trigger anxiety and how to change them, building self-esteem as well as introduce basic tools for dealing with anxiety. This seminar incorporates an innovative and active format using outdoor Challenge Course activities that will include problem-solving initiatives and climbing elements that allow participants to sharpen their cognitive-behavioral anxiety management tools learned during the seminar. Participation level for each of these activities is at the discretion of each individual.

Licensed clinical psychologist on staff at the Franciscan Life Center,with over 35 yearsof experience in treating anxiety conditions with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Dr. Finn is also a certified Challenge Course Facilitator.
