Freight Train Crashes Into Car In Meriden: Report
No one was injured in the accident early Tuesday morning.

MERIDEN, CT — A freight train struck a car early Tuesday in Meriden, according to The Hartford Courant. The car was empty and no one was injured in the crash.
Police received the call at about 2:10 a.m. regarding a car stuck on the railroad tracks at Center Street and North Colony Road.
The driver had been heading south on North Colony Road. The driver couldn't see the tracks due to bad weather, then the car got stuck on them.

The driver was unable to move the car off the tracks as the freight train closed in, but exited the car before the collision, according to The Hartford Courant
