Fund Started for Meriden Family That Lost Nearly Everything in Fire

The Jones family lost nearly all their possessions in a fire earlier this month.

A fund has been started for a family that lost everything after a fire in Meriden earlier this month.

The Jones family was out to dinner and returned home to Oak Street on March 1 to find their home engulfed in smoke. The Fire Department put the fire out quickly, but most of the furniture and items in the home were destroyed by smoke and water.

So far the fund has raised $265 out of the $3000 goal to help the family get new furniture and other items to set up residence somewhere else.
