Help Wanted: Meriden Hiring Public Health Nursing Administrator

The full-time position is responsible for administering the comprehensive school nursing program.

MERIDEN, CT — The city has begun advertising to fill the position of Public Health Nursing Administrator, according to a post on the City of Meriden Facebook page.

The position is responsible for administering the comprehensive school nursing program at the city's public and parochial schools, according to officials.

Specific salary details were not immediately available, but the job is full-time. Duties include "coordinating, implementing, evaluating the school nursing program, and supervising school health nurses and health aides."

"The candidate must possess a license as a Registered Nurse as issued by the State of Connecticut," officials wrote in the job description. "The candidate must also have a Baccalaureate degree with at least two years experience as a school nurse; at least one year experience in a public health setting, and at least two years supervisory experience in school health. Must have a valid Connecticut driver’s license."
