John R. Adams, 81, of Meriden, Passed Away March 27

John R. Adams, 81, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015, at Miller Memorial Community. He was the husband of Evelyn D. (Post) Adams, his loving wife of 48 years.

Born on Dec. 16, 1933, in Atlantic City, N.J. he was the son of the late John Homan and Helen Marie (Jackson) Adams. John grew up in New Jersey where he attended local schools. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. John was employed as a CCTV Installer for ADT Security from where he retired. He was a member of the U.S. Naval Group, the NRA, AARL and the Underwater Society of America. John had been a resident of Meriden for the past 11 years, and was an experienced ham radio operator.

John is survived by his sons, Michael Adams and his wife, Vicky, of New Jersey, Raymond Adams, of California; three daughters, Lisa I. Halpin and her husband, Lawrence, of Meriden, Donna Furtado and her husband, Steven, of Alabama, Jean-Ann Condra, of Missouri ; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
