Lane Closures Announced For Milling, Resurfacing Project On Route 15 In Meriden

The project is expected to take about a month to complete, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

MERIDEN, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced a milling and resurfacing project that will be performed on Route 15 North and Southbound in Meriden starting on Tuesday, June 2.

The project is expected to be completed on July 2, according to officials.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.51-mile segment of Route 15 in Meriden from the Baldwin Avenue bridge to the Berlin/ Meriden town line, according to an advisory.

This project is scheduled to begin milling by Tilcon on Tuesday, June 2 to Monday, June 22, 2026. The resurfacing segment of this project by Tilcon is anticipated to begin on Sunday, Jun 14 to Thursday, July 2, 2026. This project is included in CTDOT’s 2026 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 15 in Meriden from the Baldwin Avenue bridge to the Berlin/ Meriden town line. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday to Friday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
