Leadership Changes at Kuhn

Kuhn Employment Opportunities, Inc., is pleased to announce its recent leadership changes!

APRIL 4, 2016 – MERIDEN, CT – Kuhn Employment Opportunities, Inc., is pleased to announce that with former Executive Director Mr. Robert Stephens’ decision for retirement on April 1, 2016, the Board of Directors appoints Ms. Beth Fisher as Executive Director and Mr. Jerry Brennan as the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer.

Ms. Fisher brings twenty-five years of non-profit administrative and supervisory program experience, as well as, extensive knowledge of best practices in rehabilitation services for a range of disability populations. Most recently, Ms. Fisher served as Kuhn’s Director of Programs. Ms. Fisher is an honors graduate in Psychology from the University of Hartford. She has been a Conference Presenter and is currently an active member of several industry and state funding and planning committees, addressing vocational and program services.

Mr. Brennan joined Kuhn in 2004 and has over thirty years of business finance, marketing, and planning experience including leadership roles in the telecommunications and insurance industries He holds master’s degrees in planning and business administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and New York University’s Stern School of Business, and is an honors graduate in Economics from Southern Connecticut State University.

The board recognizes Mr. Stephens for his over fourteen years of leadership and service to Kuhn. During his tenure, the agency reestablished its status in delivering first-rate client services, rebuilt its financial standing, and, most notably, secured a new home for client services and its headquarters.

Kuhn Employment Opportunities, Inc. is a non-profit human services organization committed to helping people with disabilities find and retain employment as well as participate in meaningful day support programs. From its humble beginnings in 1962 using Ernest B. Kuhn’s small garage to serve a handful of young people, Kuhn has grown to approximately 450 participants who are supported in a variety of diverse programs. The agency provides person-centered program planning, job skill assessment opportunities, job development, on-the-job training and supervision, and transportation services to meet individual needs.
