Lights Festival Temporarily Closed At Hubbard Park In Meriden

MERIDEN, CT — The Festival of Silver Lights at Hubbard Park in Meriden is closed until Saturday morning, officials announced.

“Due to the heavy rain, high winds, & potential for icing later on we will be closing off (barriers placed across the upper & lower entrances) Hubbard Park to vehicular traffic at 12:00 PM today until 9:00 AM tomorrow morning,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The holiday display is already approximately half-out and will not be back up & running until things dry out. A Parks crew will be in tomorrow morning to do just that in time for Christmas Eve and rest of the holiday week.”
