Long-Delayed Meriden Restaurant To Open This Month
A new restaurant will be opening shortly.
MERIDEN, CT - Taino Smokehouse Prime will open its 1388 E. Main St. location for St. Patrick's Day, March 17, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., then fully open March 26. The restaurant has faced delays according to a post on social media Feb. 27.
"For two years we have been saying two weeks.... Now I think for the first time we actually mean it... Two weeks."
The restaurant will include a marketplace, bakery, cheese shop, open pit BBQ prime. It will boast a "casual setting, best quality ingredients, preparation that requires finesse and technique," according to a social media post.

On the menu will be items such as dry aged steaks, duck, lamb, and international-inspired dishes. "Think NYC Steakhouse with side options such as dumplings and curry goat with fresh made pasta."
Taino Smokehouse Prime will also include craft cocktails by Death & Co. along with 12 tap lines of local beers.
