Longtime Friends From Meriden Opening New Club At Former Playwright In New Haven: Report
The duo is currently overseeing a $1 million renovation of the site in downtown New Haven.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Two longtime friends from Meriden are teaming together to open an upscale club/restaurant at the site of the former Playwright in downtown New Haven, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports Greg Maloney and John Mocadlo are currently overseeing a $1 million renovation of the site on Temple Street, which was most recently the Russian Lady, and are planning to open the Vanity Bar in late August. Maloney owns Maloney’ Pub in Meriden and the Blackstone Tavern in Southington. Locals will recognize Mocadlo from his commercials for the Barberino Auto Group, which he is a partner of, according to the Record-Journal.
