Man Accused Of Sexual Assault In Meriden: Police
The man was arrested on a warrant in connection with the sexual assault of a minor, according to police.
MERIDEN, CT — A man was arrested Monday in connection with a sexual assault investigation in Meriden in 2021, according to police.
The Special Crimes Unit began investigating in 2021 allegations against Evans Espinal in connection with the sexual assault involving a minor, according to police.
An arrested warrant was obtained and Espinal was apprehended on Dec. 4 in New Jersey, police said.

Espinal was extradited back to Connecticut on Dec. 12 and charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. He was held in lieu of a $200,000 bond.
