Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Child: Meriden Police

The man was arrested on a warrant following a lengthy investigation, according to police.

MERIDEN, CT — A man is accused of sexually assaulting a child in Meriden, according to police.

Mark Anthony Dunn, 44, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant in connection with an investigation that was launched in January, according to police.

Dunn was charged with first-degree sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, third-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child.

He was released after posting a $150,000 bond with a court date of Sept. 27, according to state judicial records.

“We at the Meriden Police Department are wholeheartedly committed to protecting children,” police wrote in a news release. “We understand the impact of these crimes on the victims and their families. We partner with outside agencies to help provide services to the affected victims and their families. It is the policy of the Meriden Police Department to fully investigate every allegation of crimes against children that are brought to our agency's attention.”
