Man Arrested On Sexual Assault Warrant In Meriden: Police

A man was arrested on a sexual assault warrant in Meriden, and police say he had 37 bags of crack-cocaine when he was arrested.

MERIDEN, CT — Police arrested a man on a warrant for sexual assault and found he had 37 bags of crack-cocaine on him, according to a police Facebook post. Police stopped a vehicle Sunday at 5:45 p.m. on Colony Street.

The driver was Luis Adorno-Morales, 43, who police said had an active arrest warrant out of Waterbury for second-degree sexual assault. He was taken into custody.

Police searched Adorno-Morales and found he had 37 small plastic bags each containing crack-cocaine. The total amount of the drug was 16.6 grams. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to sell narcotics.

He was released on $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court June 14. Adorno-Morales was then turned over to the Waterbury Police Department for the pending second-degree sexual assault charge.
