Man Arrested In Stabbing Which Left Meriden Resident Hospitalized: PD

The victim suffered several stab wounds in the Waterbury incident, according to police.

WATERBURY, CT — Police have arrested a city man for a Friday afternoon assault which left one victim hospitalized with multiple stab wounds.

On Sunday, police announced they have charged David Hernandez, 20, of Waterbury.

Hernandez is due to be arraigned in Superior Court in Waterbury today.

Police did not release the exact charges against him.

According to police, the 27-year-old male victim, a Meriden resident, is currently in stable condition and is still receiving medical treatment at a local area hospital.

Police were summoned to the scene, on the 200-block of Wood Street, around 12:55 p.m. Friday.

Police initially described the victim as being in critical condition, with life-threatening injuries, but the victim’s condition improved over the weekend.
