Man Charged In Assault, Robbery Of Victim: Meriden Police

MERIDEN, CT — A man was recently arrested in connection with the assault of another man in July 2020, according to police.
Police responded around 9:25 p.m. on July 4, 2020, to the area of Hillside Avenue on the report of an assault that was happening in the road.
Officers found an unconscious man lying in the road with several people running away from the area, according to police.

The victim was treated at the scene by officers and medical personnel and taken to the hospital with serious injuries that weren’t life-threatening, according to police.
An investigation found that the victim was assaulted and robbed, police said.

Police said Brandon Ramos, 24, was identified as a suspect.
Ramos was arrested Jan. 27 on a warrant and charged with second-degree assault. He was released after posting a $75,000 bond, according to police.
