MERIDEN, CT — A man has been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting earlier this year in Meriden, according to police.
Police responded to the 100 block of Bunker Avenue on April 2 on the report of shots fired. Officers found three spent shell casing in the area, according to police.
The victim told police that a vehicle drove by and a man called out a name several times. The name called out by the suspect was not the victim’s name, police said.

The vehicle used in the incident was found later in the evening in Bristol and seized, according to police.
Police said the driver of the vehicle was identified as 28-year-old Akevis Duncan.
Duncan was identified as the suspect in the shooting and an arrest warrant was obtained on April 26, according to police.
Police said Duncan is a convicted felon and the subject of an active protective further barring him from possessing firearms.
Meriden detectives learned at the end of October that Duncan was incarcerated for an arrest in New Britain.
Duncan was arrested Tuesday on a warrant and charged with criminal attempt to commit first-degree assault, criminal use of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit and four counts of violation of a protective order. He was held in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
