Man Charged In Meriden Burglary: Police
A man has been charged after police say he through a cinder block through a kitchen window.
MERIDEN, CT — A man was charged in connection with a burglary Monday, according to police. Justin Woodall, 33, was charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal trespass, and first-degree criminal mischief.
Police were dispatched to 192 Bunker Ave. on a report of a possible burglary in progress. The caller said that there was a loud smash and the sound of someone walking around the first-floor apartment.
Police arrived and Woodall stepped out to the front steps and said he heard noises from the first floor. He claimed he was visiting his girlfriend on the third floor, but police said he did not know her name. He also had debris on the back of his hoodie.

Police investigated and found that Woodall had thrown a cinder block through a kitchen window. The homeowner estimated the damages at $2,500.
Woodall suffered a cut to his right wrist when going through the kitchen window. He claimed he was homeless and needed a place to stay.

Woodall was held on $50,000 bond.
