Man Charged In Meriden Home Invasion: Police
A man is accused of forcing open an apartment door and entering with a loaded gun, according to police.
MERIDEN, CT — Police have charged a man in connection with a home invasion, according to a police department Facebook post. Camron Wilson, 22, was charged with home invasion, criminal possession of a firearm or ammunition, criminal use of a weapon, risk of injury to a minor, first-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree threatening, second-degree criminal mischief, and illegal possession of a large capacity magazine.
Police received a call Saturday at 1:09 a.m. reporting a man attempting to kick down a door and threatening to fire shots through it at 1029-32 Old Colony Road.
Police arrived and found that the apartment door had been forced open. Wilson had confronted a man. A woman and her infant had hidden elsewhere in the apartment and called police.

Wilson was taken into custody. Police found a loaded 9mm handgun with a 15-round magazine in his possession.
No injuries were reported and no shots were reported.

Wilson is a convicted felon wanted on multiple warrants from other agencies, according to police. He was held on $500,000 bond and will appear in court Feb. 25.
