Man Charged With Ramming Meriden Police Car

A Middletown is facing charges that he hit a Meriden police cruiser attempting to avoid an outstanding warrant, according to a report.

MERIDEN, CT - A Middletown man is facing charges after he hit an unmarked police car due to outstanding warrant, The Meriden Record-Journal reported. Alton Youngs, 25, of 203 Liberty St., was charged with three counts of second-degree assault, three counts of attempt to assault police, first-degree reckless endangerment, and reckless driving.

Police attempted to stop Youngs' vehicle May 1 when he accelerated and struck an unmarked car, according to The Record-Journal.
