Man Dies In Meriden Gang-Related Homicide

MERIDEN, CT — Police have identified the victim of a Saturday homicide as Michael Joseph Brown, according to a police statement. The crime occurred at 54 S. Broad St.

Police responded to a call reporting gunshots at 2:40 a.m. Saturday. Shortly after that, a local hospital reported two gunshot victims were being treated, according to The Record-Journal.

One man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and the other succumbed to his injuries. Police believe the shooting is related to gangs targeting each other, The Record Journal reported.
