Man Extradited From Florida On Murder Charges: Meriden Police

MERIDEN, CT — Meriden Police say a man has been extradited from Florida on a warrant in connection with a murder in Meriden earlier this year.

Brandon Ramos was arrested Nov. 9 in Florida by the U.S. Marshals and extradited to Meriden on Wednesday, Meriden Police said in a news release.

Ramos was named a suspect in the shooting death of 20-year-old Jyineez Cruz after a police investigation.

Ramos was charged with murder, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, and carrying a pistol without a permit, Meriden Police said. His bond is $1 million.
