Det. Thomas Giannakopoulos learned through the investigation that the incident was linked to other shots-fired incidents that happened the same day in Portland and New Britain, according to police.

Police said all three departments worked together to identify Ravon Dow as the suspect.

Dow, 29, was taken into custody in Berlin on Jan. 26.

Giannakopoulos continued the investigation and secured an arrest warrant for Dow in connection with the shots fired in Meriden.

Dow was arrested Wednesday on a warrant and charged with criminal attempt to commit second-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm and criminal use of a firearm. He was held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

“The Meriden Police Department is grateful for the assistance from the men and women of the various agencies,” police wrote in a news release. “These arrest warrants obtained for Ravon Dow highlight that our agencies are committed to working together and our partnerships are strong. Our goal is to reduce victimization while arresting those responsible for violent acts.”
