Update: Pedestrian Sustains Life Threatening Injuries After Car Crash

The man was seriously injured in the incident.

A pedestrian sustained life threatening injuries after being hit by a motor vehicle.

The accident happened Monday around 3 p.m. near the intersection of West Main and North First streets, police said.

A man who is about 50-years-old was in the street and had a head injury and trauma to his upper torso. His name won’t be released until his family is notified.

He was transported to Midstate Hospital and then transported via LifeStar to Hartford Hospital.

Police interviewed several witnesses and the investigation continues.
