Man Injured In Meriden Shooting: Report

A man was injured in a shooting early Tuesday morning.

MERIDEN, CT — Police found a man who had been wounded in the arm by a gunshot walking on Broad Street early Tuesday, The Meriden Record-Journal reported. The man's injuries were not life-threatening and he was taken to a medical facility for treatment.

Police received a report of a gunshot near Broad and Liberty streets just before 3 a.m. The victim told police he was walking on Broad Street when an unknown vehicle pulled up, then someone in the vehicle stole the victim's cell phone and shot him in the arm, according to The Meriden Record-Journal.
