Man On Parole Found With Drugs, Arrested: Meriden Police
Police said the man was arrested after a "substantial" amount of illegal drugs were found at his home.

MERIDEN, CT — A man on parole was arrested after a “substantial” amount of illegal drugs were found at his home in Meriden, according to police.
Meriden police assisted the Waterbury District Parole and Community Services office at a residence in Meriden on Thursday.
Police said parole was investigating one of their clients, 34-year-old Stephen Pennyman, after reports of possible unlawful conduct.

Pennyman’s home was searched by parole and a “substantial amount of illegal drugs” were found in the residence, according to police.
Police said the drugs seized included Oxycodone pills, crack cocaine, cocaine, and ecstasy, along with cash that was believed to be proceeds from drug sales.

Pennyman was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. He was held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
“Based off of the illegal drugs located in Pennyman’s residence, Parole also remanded Pennyman back to prison,” police wrote in a news release.
“This case is another great example of two agencies working together to help make the community safer,” police wrote. “Our organization has seen that collaboration with other agencies has yielded positive results for the City of Meriden. We look forward to working with any organizations that can help us provide better services to our residents.”
