Man Shot In The Arm In Meriden

Police responded to the shooting and a subsequent car crash.

MERIDEN, CT — One person was shot Monday night on Sylvan Avenue, police said. Officers responded to a report of shots fired at 9:58 p.m.

Officers arrived at the scene to find a motor vehicle accident and a man with a gunshot wound to the arm. The man was transported to St. Francis Hospital and he was expected to survive.

Police said they believe the individuals in the shooting knew each other and it was not a random act.
