Man Stole Uber Driver’s Wallet, Used Credit Card: Meriden Police
The Uber driver told police that a recent rider had stolen his wallet and used his credit cards at two different locations.
MERIDEN, CT — A man was recently arrested after police said he stole an Uber driver’s wallet and used his credit card in Meriden.
Meriden police responded to the Irving Gas Station on Broad Street on Nov. 11 on the report of a theft. The victim, an Uber driver, told police that his recent fare had stolen his wallet from his vehicle and used credit cards at two different local gas stations, according to police.
Police said one attempt was successful and one was declined.

The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Luis Cordero, was found and admitted to stealing the Uber driver’s wallet and using his credit card, according to police.
Cordero was arrested and charged with sixth-degree larceny, illegal use of credit card and criminal attempt to illegal use of credit card. He was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond, according to police.
