Man Wanted For Murder In Meriden Commits Suicide: Police
A man wanted in the fatal shooting of a woman last month took his own life, according to police.

MERIDEN, CT — A man facing charges in a homicide last month killed himself in New Haven, according to police. The man was wanted in connection with the killing of a woman at the Atrium Apartment Complex at 1274 E. Main St. on March 20.
The victim, Dominique Curtis, 37, suffered several gunshot wounds and was found in the complex's driveway. Medical personnel arrived and began life-saving measures, but she succumbed to her injuries.
Police identified the suspect as Tyrese Worthy, 36. Worthy fled on foot following the shooting.

Police received reports that Worthy was knocking on doors in the neighborhood and asking to use a phone. Police initiated a search to take Worthy into custody.
Worthy then allegedly committed an armed carjacking in the area of Preston Avenue and the I-91 ramp.

Police secured a warrant for the carjacking and Worthy was to be charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree larceny, criminal possession of a firearm, and carrying a pistol without a permit. His bond was to be set at $600,000.
Five days later, police obtained a warrant for Worthy's charging him with murder, criminal possession of a firearm, and three counts of risk of injury to a minor with bond to be set at $2 million.
On Tuesday at 12:35 a.m., police were notified that Worthy had taken his own life in New Haven.
